ISO 10668:2010 (Brand Valuation Management System)

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has published ISO 10668:2010 Brand valuation Requirements for monetary brand valuation, which specifies requirements for procedures and methods of monetary brand value measurement for many purposes, including for accounting purposes.

ISO 10668:2010 specifies a high-level framework for brand valuation, including objectives, bases of valuation, approaches to valuation, methods of valuation and sourcing of quality data and assumptions. It also specifies methods for reporting the results of such valuations. As a high-level and wide-scope document, it does provide general guidance only and is considered to be largely consistent with existing valuation practice.

ISO 10668: Brand Valuation is an international standard for measuring brand value. It specifies the requirements of an ISO-compliant brand valuation, provides a framework for valuation (including procedures and methods), and shows methods for reporting results.

ISO 10668 can be applied to brand valuations for a wide range of purposes, including accounting, financial reporting, tax planning and compliance, litigation support and licensing.
